Exploring the waterways by paddleboard or kayak is one of our favourite ways to discover the peaceful landscapes around Chaillevette. The calm channels of the Seudre River wind through salt marshes and traditional huts, offering a unique view of this beautiful estuary.

As you glide quietly along the water, you may spot herons, egrets and other birdlife that inhabit the marshes. Paddling towards Mornac-sur-Seudre is particularly enjoyable, with lovely scenery and a tranquil atmosphere that makes the experience truly memorable.

💡 Our tip: Go early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the light over the marshes is at its most beautiful and the water is usually calmer.
